What It Costs to Work with Me
(What Does It Cost to Not Work With Me?)

What do I bring to my clients?

I'm a doctor of psychophysiology (psycho = mind; physiology = body).  If your therapist's education matters to you, earlier in life, I had the privilege to major in psychology at Princeton University. I was one of the first women accepted there (the teachers called me 'sir'). Later, I attended medical school, which impacts my understanding of the ways your body has been responding to your mind. My Doctorate is in mind-body therapy, including neurofeedback and biofeedback, and I'm currently part of a study of effects of RRT on sexual trauma. If your therapist's life experience matters...My son struggled with ADHD and addiction, and my deceased husband with OCD and child abuse by his father, and I took years of meditation practice to heal from my own life events. It's nearly impossible to shock me.  If years acquiring skills and perspective matters to you when choosing a therapist, in 2013 I met Dr. Connelly, and continue to find the RRT philosophy and practice highly effective with my clients. Recently, I've assisted in analyzing his sessions for two books (one on grief, and one on sexual trauma).

I'm part of a team when it comes to Neurofeedback:  My beloved husband showed up on Match 7 years ago.  He's a biomedical engineer, and arranged for me to take my practice online, including neurofeedback, even before COVID changed the world.  We did this so that more people could receive treatment where it isn't locally available, or where it's priced at multiple times my fees for in-office sessions.  My husband's avocation is nutrition, a passion we share. My brain training clients benefit from our combined pursuit of mental and physical health through supplementation.  Clients also have the benefit of my association with Dr. John LeMay, QEEGD.  Dr. LeMay's decades of experience and skill at reading brain maps has been shown to be extraordinary.

In other words, I'm not just a life coach who took a course.  All my clients benefit from my close association with really smart and dedicated people. That's why my fees are what they are, and here they are:

Consultations are complimentary.  Some people have multiple consultations in order to include family members.  We all want to be on the same page, so I don't limit this time for us to reach understanding.

Our first intake and therapy session is open-ended.  It will go at least 90 minutes, often more. $725

After that, therapy sessions are also usually RRT-based, but I let the client and issues determine this. $375

A brain mapping session takes about an hour. If you're local, it's in person. Mapping is also available virtually. If the test is conducted remotely, the client also pays shipping and insurance costs for the equipment. $250 (+ shipping and insurance).

Brain mapping analysis by Dr. LeMay is charged by him directly. $450

Neurofeedback equipment is loaned at no charge, but there is an initial fee for setup.  $250

Neurofeedback at home is billed at a flat monthly rate.  $620

Additional family members can be treated at half price monthly. $310

If neurofeedback is not compliant (2x per week minimum), then extra supervision is required for a week. $150

Payment is made on PayPal, which means you can also use a credit card, Venmo, HSA, or pay later options.

I can provide a Superbill on request, at least for therapy - but as out of network.  I don't accept insurance, and most insurers don't pay for neurofeedback unless there's a head injury.  Your insurer can let you know if neurofeedback is covered.

So the choice is up to you.  It could be that money is the bottom line, or that quality of care is the bottom line.  I'm glad to answer your questions regarding this important decision, and am happy to suggest alternatives if that's your best option.

Feel free to call or text to 310.703.7449 to request a consultation.  Best to include your time zone.
